City of Derby Open 10th-11th January 2015 PDF Print E-mail
The City of Derby Open Meet was another successful meet for National Youth and Age squad swimmers.  46 swimmers took the journey to Ponds Forge in Sheffield, the pool where the national championships will be held later in the year. It was the opening meet to the long course season.

UEA City of Norwich SC and Amateur Swimming in general, is run by a 'family' of extremely dedicated volunteers. Whilst the efforts of everyone are always appreciated, some can manage a short stint occasionally whilst at the opposite end of the spectrum there are those who seem to defy logic in the commitment and time they give to supporting the club and the sport. Huge thanks and congratulations go to the clubs own Darren Peck, who sits squarely in this second group. Darren has very recently achieved qualification as a British Swimming referee.

Resolution Meet, UEA Sportspark January 2015 PDF Print E-mail
The UEA Sportspark pool was the venue for the Resolution Meet hosted by UEA City of Norwich Swimming Club over the weekend of 17th and 18th January 2015. This short course licensed level 3 meet was supported by almost a dozen visiting clubs, with swimmers travelling from far and wide to participate.

Increased participation drives expansion at UEA Norwich PDF Print E-mail
The UEA City of Norwich Swimming Club are proud to announce that due to a huge drive in participation in swimming we are expanding our competitive squads.  The County Age and Youth Squads have become heavily subscribed and as such we are now in a position to introduce a new squad ‘City Squad’ for entry level competitive participation.  The County Age squad now boasts all of its sessions in 25m pool space and a choice of 5 sessions.  Whilst the County Youth squad has access to one long course session per week along with two 1.5 hour training sessions and land training opportunities.

Arena-League-1 The final rounds of the East Midlands region National Arena Swimming League, brought fantastic results for UEA City of Norwich swimming club in both the Premier and second division competitions last Saturday, 13th December.  Swimming at Coventry against strong competition from Northampton. City of Peterborough, City of Milton Keynes, Nottingham Leander and West Suffolk, the Norwich club
finished 4th on the day, placing them third overall in the competition, narrowly missing out on a place in the national final at Swansea early next year. Nail biting races and great atmosphere as our swimmers & supporters do us proud!

Paralympic dream moves a step closer for Katie PDF Print E-mail
Katie-Nesbitt National Youth squad swimmer Katie Nesbitt, has just returned from Rio de Janeiro where she competed in the Brazil Paralympic School Games 2014.
Supported by British Swimming and TASS (Talent Athlete Sponsorship Scheme), the 16 year old from Lowestoft was one of only 6 athletes from Great Britain selected to swim in the competition.  A team of 6 land athletes also travelled and took part.  The athletes were supported by a team of 15 including coaches,
